Month Three.

Month Three was a fun month!  Mommy started back to work, part-time, Booney slept a lot, and Daddy's car died. There was a lot that happened this month, so brace yourself for a long blog post.

We also went consignment shopping with Kayla and Keiser. Although we did not find any big purchase items, we found some really cute outfits for really cheap.  It is always fun to go out in public with Kayla and Keiser because everyone always stops to oogle and our little guys, and at least every other person asks if they are twins.  I am very excited to have Kayla as a good friend now - we have so much in common (hubbies both AFD firemen at one of the busiest stations in Ag Town, babies the same age, we are the same age... endless commonalities). I am also excited to watch Keiser and Boone grow up together. The Lands and the Schwanbecks should have known that we were in for some serious adventures naming our kids Keiser and Boone.

Then, we went to Gigi and Pops for Labor Day weekend.  I got some mommy time floating in an inner-tube on the lake, while Debbie spent some quiet time with Boone -awesome. We got home from the lake, and Brent has just gotten off shift. He realized that his absent-minded, somewhat sleep-deprived wife had gone out of town and left the garage open. Oopsie daisy.  Luckily, we live in a safe, quiet neighborhood, so everything seemed to be in its place.

Brent was also sick that evening, so I had 2 babies to care for ;) He was careful and took every precaution to make sure he didn't get Boone sick (he even wore a silly medical mask for a few days); but Boone still got sick.  Luckily, Boone just got only a touch of a cold, whereas Brent's was much worse.  It took a while to get rid of the snottiness and crud, but Boone was much better after a week or so.

Some of the most fun news from this month is that our nanny started work!  Colleen, Brent's cousin, who just started college, started working for us to help care for Boone on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Boone immediately took to her and it is so cute to see how much those two love each other.  Colleen is wonderful and I hope that the two of them continue to grow what looks like a life-long, amazing relationship.

Some of the least fun news... Brent's Land Rover finally bit the bullet and died died,  I was on my way to take Boone to Aunt Sammy's to watch his very first Aggie football game (here is cute shot)...

and the short story is: Rover started smoking, then stopped accelerating on 121, and died on the service road in a non-populated part of town.  I was quite a sight - smoking vehicle, dog on a leash, baby in a carrier, standing the tall grass on the side of the highway. Wow.  Anywho, random strangers and Justin and Garrett were total blessings that day.  We ended up replacing the Rover by buying my dad's Subaru Impreza (he upgraded to a beautiful Subaru Outback).

Last piece of news from this month: by the end of the month, Boone was holding his head up!  Yay! He is getting stronger and stronger everyday and it seems like at least once a week he starts doing something new, like big belly laughs, super spit bubbles, and uber-loud squeals.
